Personalised logos
The new Data Visualisation Society has created personalised logos, see the behind the scenes post by Amy Cesal. It is a visual representation of three key skill areas; data, visualisation and society.
See below the key to the logo:
There is also a timezone overlay in grey.
My personalised logo
This is my personalised logo:
Purple I have a background in project management and I am involved in community group organisation represented by the purple triangle.
Green I am fairly comfortable in data analysis and cleaning as I spend most of my time using R represented by the green triangle.
Yellow I have fewer design skills than the other two, as per the yellow design triangle.
This is really interesting way of creating a reference point for skills. Personally I would like to improve all my skills so this may change over time. However I also enjoy working with design folks who have very different and creative perspective to mine.
Changing the favicon in blogdown
I use the Blackburn theme with blogdown.
After checking there are no copyright restrictions, I changed to the website icon or favicon on this website.
I first converted it from png to ico format using the Favicon Generator then changed the favicon file in the path themes\blackburn\static\img
.
Then to rebuild the site I used build_site(local = TRUE)
, et voila!
